The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is inviting the trade – and all Jamaica lovers – to a special benefit concert in support of recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa in Toronto on Dec. 10. The event, which promises to bring tother “music, community, and passion” to assist those affected by the hurricane will take place at the Meridien Arts Centre in North York, starting at 7 p.m. with a reception to follow.
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Presented by Harmonies of Hope, the concert will feature acclaimed artists including Shawn Jones, Quisha Wint, Jully Black, Mark Steele, and Renee Rowe, who will perform moving renditions from Bob Marley’s iconic catalog.
Through uplifting music and powerful messages, the event seeks to foster unity and reflect Jamaica’s resilient spirit and rich cultural heritage, says the JTB.
All proceeds from the concert supporting ongoing recovery and rebuilding initiatives in the areas of Jamaica most affected by Hurricane Melissa with funds contributing to infrastructure restoration, community support programs, and the rebuilding of critical services across the island.
