GLOBESPAN ACQUIRES KEY TRAVEL, STRENGTHENING US POSITION

Globespan Travel Management, a leading corporate travel management company based in Los Angeles with global headquarters in Toronto, has announced the acquisition of Key Travel Inc., the U.S. division of the UK-based Key Travel group. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Globespan’s North American growth strategy and deepens its service capabilities within the non-profit, academic, and humanitarian travel sectors.

The transaction follows the acquisition of Key Travel UK and its EMEA operations by Trip.com Group, which will integrate those operations into its Trip.Biz platform. In contrast, Key Travel Inc. will transition to operate exclusively within the Globespan Travel Management ecosystem, ensuring uninterrupted service for U.S. clients and access to Globespan’s advanced technology and high-touch service model.

“Key Travel Inc. has built a strong legacy serving purpose-driven organizations across the United States,” said Daniel Moretta, President of Globespan Travel Management. “We are proud to welcome their team and clients to Globespan, where our blend of innovation and personalized service will drive greater efficiency, compliance, and care.”

“This partnership with Globespan Travel Management is a natural progression for our U.S. business,” added Mike Schields, Managing Director of Key Travel US. “Their leadership, technology, and service philosophy align closely with our own. We are excited for the opportunity to evolve within a company that understands the unique needs of our clients and is committed to supporting them with world-class solutions.”

With the acquisition, Globespan gains a valuable footprint in the mission-critical travel space, bolstering its sector expertise while maintaining its independence from global conglomerates. Clients will benefit from Globespan’s proprietary technology stack, including intelligent booking automation, robust data analytics, real-time risk management, and 24/7 concierge-level support.
