G Adventures marked the first ‘Jane Goodall Day’ – April 3, on what would have been the late pioneering British primatologist, ethologist, and conservationist’s 92 birthday – with the news that it has renewed its partnership the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada for an additional 10 years.
The partnership, personally endorsed by Dr. Goodall before her passing, will see the continuation of Jane’s extraordinary work in conservation, community-led initiatives, and wildlife protection around the world.
As part of the renewed partnership, the ‘Jane Goodall Collection’ of trips with G Adventures will continue to offer travellers immersive, wildlife-focused experiences across the globe. The collection features 19 trips in 16 destinations, including Borneo, the Galapagos Islands, Uganda, Botswana, Costa Rica, and Antarctica. Each itinerary carries a legacy endorsement from Dr. Goodall and, like all G Adventures tours, upholds the company’s Animal Welfare Policy, ensuring travellers can experience the natural world responsibly while respecting the species that call it home.
“We are thrilled to be extending our historic and impactful partnership with G Adventures. Together, we are making a positive and lasting difference for animals, people, and the environment, as we continue to carry Dr. Jane’s legacy forward,” says Bella Lam, Chief Executive Officer of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
A portion of every booking supports the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, helping to fund conservation efforts and community programs that protect wildlife and improve livelihoods.
“Jane was a huge inspiration to me personally, a great friend and a Global Ambassador for G Adventures,” said G Adventures founder, Bruce Poon Tip. “Our conversations over the years provided me with many lessons, some of which I am sharing with our travellers today in memory of Jane.
“Our last in-person meeting, just a few weeks before she passed, showed Jane continuing to champion and advocate for the change we need to see in the world. Our new 10-year commitment to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada is one very close to my heart and I’m proud to continue supporting the great work that Jane dedicated her life to,” he added.

Travel Your Heart Out

In other G news, G Adventures officially wrapped the ‘Travel Your Heart Out Roadshow’ – it’s high-energy, cross-country agent appreciation tour, which attracted hundreds of agents in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montréal and Halifax.
In attendance were key tourism partners from Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Portugal, and a as thank you, G Adventures also gave away 15 trips, including six each to Colombia and Portugal, and three to Costa Rica, plus an additional $5K in prizing.
“But, in true G style, it wasn’t just a series of events,” say the tour operator, adding, “By the time the final bags were packed and the purple heart confetti was cleaned off the floor, the tour had successfully grown a ‘G forest’ of 500 trees through the Trees for Days program, and raised a massive $10,500 in direct funding for Planeterra.”
“The most important part of this tour was to say thank you,” said David Green, Managing Director, Canada for G Adventures, who hand-carried plush keychains all the way from Kym Viet – a Planeterra project in Vietnam – as a personal gift for every attendee who donated over $60.
“We know it’s been a high-pressure climb for advisors lately, navigating a world that hasn’t always made this job easy. But, seeing the sheer resilience and heart in the room at every single stop was a powerful reminder that this community is the heartbeat of everything we do. Our advisors aren’t just booking trips, they’re true catalysts for change. They help ensure that the wealth from tourism stays exactly where it belongs – in the hands of local people. To every agent who joined us: we see your hustle, you are absolute legends, and G Adventures will always have your back.”
For those who were unable to attend the roadshow but wish to contribute to the mission, donations to Planeterra can still be made HERE.
