FAM FRENZY: TTC Tour Brands, Intrepid, and Quark Expeditions launch agent offers

In the spirit of the season, several tour operators are launching (or relaunching) extensive FAM trip and/or prize opportunities that will enable travel advisors to experience some new or favourite destinations, and, at the same time, gain hands-on experience with a supplier that will help build their business.

TTC Tour Brands

TTC Tour Brands’ Tour Week program for travel advisors is returning in 2026. Agents have the chance to join a dozen FAM trips around the world, highlighting top experiences from Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki.

Designed as more than a traditional FAM, Tour Week blends immersive travel, expert-led training and sales empowerment into a single, high-impact experience that helps advisors sharpen product expertise and return ready to sell with confidence.

“Tour Week isn’t just about experiencing our trips, it’s about giving advisors hands-on experience and guidance that they can use to increase their sales potential,” said Whitney Ramirez, SVP Sales, TTC Tour Brands North America. “Advisors return from Tour Week more confident, more credible with clients, and better equipped to grow their businesses.”

In 2025 alone, the program attracted over 1,000 applications from North American travel advisors and garnered international recognition for its innovation in trade education.

The next Tour Week iteration will depart in March and May. Advisors will experience a special FAM version of 10 trips across five continents, with destinations ranging from Greece to Vietnam.

The FAMs cost US$1,099 p.p. (land-only). Applications close Jan. 9, with confirmations issued in mid-January. Apply at agents.ttc.com/TourWeek

Intrepid Travel

Intrepid Travel has opened applications for its 2026 Agent FAM Program, offering Canadian travel advisors the chance to experience the tour company’s destinations and trip styles firsthand. From March through December 2026, the expanded FAM program includes opportunities across Central and South America, Europe, North Africa, and East Asia.

Each FAM is designed to showcase the diversity of Intrepid’s product range, including:

  • March: Short Breaks in Guatemala and Belize
  • June: Food and Culture-focused trips in South Korea
  • October: Adventure and trekking experiences in Peru
  • December: Iconic European Christmas Markets

While FAM itineraries are customized for advisor education, several closely follow existing Intrepid trips, including Central America, Christmas Markets, and Peru Trek.

All general FAMs will be hosted by members of Intrepid’s Partnerships Team, giving advisors direct access to the people behind the product, as well as deep insight into how Intrepid operates on the ground with local leaders and communities.

Intrepid notes there is limited space on each FAM and applications for Central America close Dec. 31, 2025. All other FAM applications close Jan. 28. Advisors can indicate interest in multiple destinations with one application and early applicants are considered first as trips are finalized.

“Our 2026 FAM program is about giving advisors real, firsthand insight into what makes Intrepid different,” said Caroline Tinley, Head of Partnernships, Canada at Intrepid Travel. “By experiencing our trips on the ground, advisors gain the knowledge and credibility to match clients with the right destinations and travel styles, while also supporting the local communities that make these journeys possible. It’s an experience that benefits everyone involved.”

How to apply:

Participation fees for general FAMs start as low as $550 CAD, with a portion of every fee donated directly to Intrepid Foundation partners in the destination visited. In total, Intrepid expects to donate more than $18,000 CAD to local community organizations through the 2026 FAM program.

New for 2026, Intrepid has streamlined the process with a single application covering all FAM opportunities. Advisors can select which trips they are interested in, reducing duplication and making it easier to express interest across multiple destinations. A disclaimer is included for trekking-based trips, such as Peru.

Full details, eligibility requirements, and the application form are available now on the Intrepid AGENT HUB.
