Huntington Travel Group has launched a cruise product line and named industry veteran Christabel Sundram as cruise product manager to lead the division. The company says its new product offering expansion marks a significant milestone in its commitment to providing comprehensive travel products.
With an extensive background in wholesale travel and cruise sales, Sundram brings a wealth of expertise in small ship cruising, include river, barge, and ocean niches. She previously spent over 14 years at Exclusive Tours by Merit Travel.
Her duties will involve collaborating with suppliers to coordinate pre-and post -cruise extensions, organizing group reservations, managing operational duties, and promoting small ship cruising to the market, including MICE.
Huntington says it is aiming to build a stronger market presence by diversifying into small ship and river cruises, and by extension, giving more of its product for travel advisors to be able to sell.
“Huntington’s cruise product intends to fill the gap left in the Canadian market for a wholesale small ship cruise reseller,” says Sundram. “Our goal is to provide travel advisors with a complete product – one that offers competitive differentiation, is easy to sell, and ensures a lucrative commission income. We are excited to introduce unique pre- and post-cruise experiences, making group bookings seamless while delivering exclusive, culturally immersive experiences tailored to travellers’ needs.”
