Heralding a new entertainment district for the GTA, a much anticipated billion-dollar resort located near Toronto airport is set to open next week with a modern Vegas-style casino, hotel, live entertainment venue, and multiple on-site dining options.

The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto will officially open its doors at 5 p.m. on Tuesday (June 20) at a 13.4-hectare site located about 15 minutes from Toronto Pearson and adjacent to the well-known Woodbine Racetrack.

Boasting distinctive architecture, the new, the venue encompasses 30,500 sq. m. of gaming space, including over 4,800 slot machines and 145 table games, making it the largest casino in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

The resort seamlessly integrates a modern, Vegas-style casino, 400-room hotel, 5,000-person live entertainment venue, and an array of on-site dining options.

With an investment of approximately $1 billion, Great Canadian Toronto is one of the largest private sector projects currently in Ontario and is expected to generate over $500 million in economic impact.
