G Adventures’ popular ‘Change Makers’ travel advisor reward program is returning with 15 Canadian agents eligible to earn a space at the community tourism pioneer’s third Change Makers GX Summit later this year. To be held at yet-to-be-revealed destination, the event will include 75 winners from around the globe, brought together to celebrate the impact of community tourism.
The Change Makers challenge runs until May 31, with the campaign designed to encourage agents to focus on “changing people’s lives through travel” by booking G Adventures trips. Agents who successfully earn a place at the Summit will see firsthand how their work directly impacts local communities in the destinations G Adventures visits.
The Change Makers reward program runs alongside both the G-Normous and You Belong with G Experience initiatives.
To be eligible to earn a space, agents automatically receive one entry per booking. The top 10 agents from each region will qualify, with an additional five ‘wildcard’ spaces available to each region to allocate to agents who make at least one G Adventures booking, as well as meeting certain wildcard incentive rules.
The wildcard challenges for 2024 include completing G-learning training modules; fundraising for G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra; opportunities for “first time” booking agents to win a place at the GX Summit; as well as an overall reward for the agent who’s “changed the most lives” from June 1 to May 31, 2024.
More prizes will be revealed for the event. Highlights include visits to ‘G for Good’ community tourism projects built together with Planeterra, as well as destination highlights to help agents build their product knowledge.
