Visit Seattle has announced the three Canadian travel advisors who have won a spot an upcoming FAM trip to the Emerald City in October. By registering and completing the new Seattle specialist program by the July 1 deadline, all “Seattle Certified” agents were entered into a draw to win one of three spots.
The winners were Christine Moore of Voyages AquaTerra; Lydia Della Rocca, Fare Connect Travel; and Melissa Valentine, AMA Travel.
“We are thrilled with the results, which have truly exceeded our expectations, amidst the state of current events,” said Denise Graham, account associate at Canuckiwi Ltd., representatives for Visit Seattle in Canada.
“Our Seattle specialists are now equipped with the tools and resources needed to curate unforgettable experiences for their clients as enquiries come in” she added, noting that despite the conclusion of the contest, Graham reminded, “it’s never too late” to enroll in the program.
The self-paced course takes roughly two hours to complete in full, offering a robust curriculum that covers Seattle’s diverse attractions, culture, and natural beauty. Participants can explore four meticulously designed courses:
- Seattle’s Spirit: Sports & Events – an in-depth look at Seattle’s vibrant sports scene and annual events, from Seahawks football to cultural festivals.
- Mastering the Art of Selling Seattle – strategies and insights to effectively showcase Seattle’s unique offerings to potential travelers.
- Exploring the Great Outdoors: Seattle’s Adventure Guide – a comprehensive guide to outdoor activities and natural wonders in and around Seattle.
- Savouring Seattle: A Culinary Journey – an exploration of Seattle’s renowned food and drink scene, including fresh seafood and signature coffee shops.
