Effective July 8, a new codeshare agreement between Porter Airlines and British Airways will take effect, giving British Airways customers seamless access to travel on 17 select Porter Airlines domestic routes in Canada including Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg.
As announced by British Airways, the codeshare partnership opens up a range of new routes in Canada for the airline’s customers travelling to or from London via Toronto or Montreal on the BA network as well as enabling members of the British Airways Club to earn Avios and tier points when travelling on Porter flights.
The agreement means that the Canadian destinations served by Porter Airlines will now be bookable under a BA code on ba.com.
“We are delighted to launch this codeshare with Porter Airlines, meaning British Airways customers can now book flights on Porter Airlines’ network with convenience and ease,” said Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways. This agreement makes travel between London and Canada even easier, offering more options and flexibility. We look forward to working closely with Porter Airlines and further strengthening our partnership.”
Edmond Eldebs, Sr. VP at Porter Airlines said: “It is our pleasure to welcome British Airways customers to the Porter experience. This codeshare agreement reflects our shared commitment to making travel seamless and enjoyable.”
