Take a bow Casino Rama. The Ontario casino has taken the top spot with 26,587 posts. New research has revealed the most Instagrammable casinos in Canada. Niagara Fallsview Casino, also in Ontario, ranks second.
Experts at online gambling site Lucky Days ranked the top ten highest-rated casinos in Canada, according to their TripAdvisor ratings, based on the number of combined Instagram posts featured under hashtags related to the resorts.
The Casino Rama in Ontario ranks at the top of the list with 26,587 Instagram posts under its combined hashtags, gaining 24.3k posts alone under #casinorama. The world-famous resort opened in 1996 and boasts of a 5,000-seat entertainment complex for visitors. Currently, the resort is reviewed 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor, averaged from over 700+ reviews.
Due to the pandemic, the place had to shut its doors in March 2020; however, since its reopening in July 2021, hundreds of thousands of visitors have attended the casino.
Following is the Niagara Fallsview Casino, with 23,413 Instagram posts, taking the second most popular spot on the site. Also in Ontario, Fallsview Casino opened in 2004 and has a vast 200,000 square feet with over 3,500 slot machines. The resort is also known for recently hosting Canada’s Got Talent, which began filming in the Avalon Theatre in 2022.
Casino de Montréal is the third most popular on Instagram, amassing 21,329 posts under its hashtags such as #casinodemontreal. It is the largest casino in Canada, citing over 526,000 square feet of gaming space, offering 3,200 slot machines and 115 gaming tables. Currently, the resort has a TripAdvisor rating of 3.5/5, with over 300 reviews reviewing the place as ‘excellent’.
In fourth place is Caesars Windsor Casino, located in Ontario. The resort has around 10,890 posts under its hashtags (#caesarswindsorcasino and #caesarswindsor), proving popular on Instagram. It is owned by the government of Ontario and features over 100,000 square feet of gaming space for visitors.
Casino Niagara comes in fifth, with 4,788 posts under its hashtags. After opening in 1996, initially as a temporary casino before Fallsview Casino opened, Casino Niagara has since had a $7 million renovation. There are over 1,300 slot machines and 26 poker room tables.
One of only two casinos in Winnipeg, the Club Regent Casino comes in sixth most Instagrammable, with 2,676 posts under combined hashtags. The casino has two main areas connected via an old aquarium tunnel, now not in use, and includes roughly 1,200 slot machines onsite.
In seventh place is the Casino Regina in Saskatchewan. Hashtags such as #casinoregent and #reginacasino) garnered over 2,569 posts for the place. The casino runs out of the former Union Rail station, giving it a unique look that makes it popular with guests. According to TripAdvisor, the casino is rated highly at 4/5 from 340+ reviews.
The eighth most Instagrammable is the Casino de Charlevoix, located in Pointe-au-Pic now part of La Malbaie, approximately 150 kilometers east of Quebec City. The resort, located next to the Saint Lawrence River, opened in 1994 and is visually stunning with its chateau-like style, leading it to garner over 1,558 posts on Instagram. The casino is one of the better reviewed, with it receiving an average of 4/5 in TripAdvisor reviews.
Rounding off the top ten are the Casino New Brunswick with 830 posts in ninth spot, and the Casino de Mont-Tremblant in tenth place with 414 posts.
