ACTA will host an online Leadership Panel on Friday (June 14) focussing on the importance of selling travel health insurance. It is the second panel for ACTA, which in April announced a series of quarterly professional development sessions focusing on different segments within the travel and tourism industry.
The new initiative is intended to provide an insightful platform for learning and discussion of industry trends, enhancing industry knowledge and fostering dialogue.
The leadership panel will feature the following experts:
- Manulife– Jennifer Waver, AVP Head of travel distribution
- Allianz – Cheri Thompson, Business Development Manager
- Blue Cross – Joseph Russo, National Sales Director, Travel Insurance
Titled ‘Shaping the way you approach travel insurance,’ the panel experts will help navigate the world of travel health insurance in today’s rapidly evolving travel landscape, in which understanding the importance of selling travel insurance is more critical than ever.
ACTA notes significant shifts in customer behaviours, especially in how they purchase travel health insurance post-pandemic.
With these trends in mind, ACTA says travel advisors must adapt their approach to offer lifetime value, focusing not just on the initial sale but on nurturing long-term client relationships. Key considerations include addressing pre-existing conditions and highlighting enhancements to travel insurance, ensuring comprehensive coverage and customer satisfaction.
