In response to recent global airspace disruptions, rising jet fuel costs, and heightened travel uncertainty amid the U.S.-Iran conflict, Emirates has introduced Comprehensive Travel Cover, a product the company says is an industry-first travel insurance offering broad, multi-risk protection for travellers throughout their journey.
Beyond the traditional insurance coverage, Emirates’ Comprehensive Travel Cover also includes:
- Reimbursement for medical expenses from conflict-related incidents of up to US$25,000 and a free 30-day trip extension
- Airline-managed hotel accommodation and extended-stay support during disruption
- Complimentary rebooking on other airlines in the event of conflict-related cancellations, ensuring travellers can continue their journey even if Emirates flights are unable to operate
- Compensation for baggage delay or loss
It also includes trip cancellation cover, unlimited medical expense and emergency evacuation cover worldwide, among other generous benefits, and notably, coverage remains valid regardless of government travel advisories.
This is in addition to existing customer-first benefits such as a free date change for tickets booked from April 2, and the option to ‘hold my fare’ for 24 hours free of charge, giving travellers flexibility, reassurance, and support at every step.
Emirates Comprehensive Travel Cover is available at an accessible premium in a variety of markets, including Canada, and can be purchased on emirates.com at the time of booking or added to existing bookings via Manage Booking.
