Air Transat has inaugurated its non-stop route between Montreal and Agadir with the first flight TS492, operated on Friday, June 12. This Moroccan destination becomes the airline’s second served from Montreal, following Marrakech. The seasonal service will be offered once a week, on Fridays, until October 23, 2026.
With this new route, Air Transat becomes the only airline to offer a non-stop flight to Agadir from North America.
“The launch of this route to Agadir reflects our ambition to strengthen exclusive access to Morocco and expand our presence across the African continent,” said Sébastien Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. “It responds to strong and growing demand while supporting both tourism development and closer ties between communities in Canada and Morocco.”
“ADM Aéroports de Montréal is very pleased to welcome this first direct route to Agadir, offered by our partner Air Transat, which will enable travellers to discover a sunny destination renowned for its beautiful beaches and rich Moroccan culture,” said Karl Brochu, Vice President, Airport Operations and Air Service Development at ADM.
“This new service will not only help boost tourism, but also foster economic, cultural and bilateral ties between Quebec and Morocco. We would also like to thank all Air Transat teams for their continued commitment to delivering memorable experiences for our passengers.”
“The MNTO, in collaboration with Air Transat, is delighted to offer Canadians enhanced and more consistent connectivity to Agadir, said Siham Fettouhi, Executive Director for North America, for the MNTO. As the distance between Canada and Morocco continues to shrink, both geographically and culturally, we are pleased to celebrate the experiences and destinations that make every trip to Morocco so unique for Canadian travellers. We are also honored to see that Canadians are increasingly choosing to discover Morocco, and we view this new route as a natural continuation of the strong and growing connectivity between our two countries.”
Flights are operated using the Airbus A321LR, a modern aircraft recognized for its efficiency and comfort. On board, passengers enjoy a thoughtfully designed cabin, ergonomic seating, and a state-of-the-art entertainment system, in both Economy Class and Club Class.
Congratulations to Air Transat – voted World’s Best Leisure Airline at the Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2026.
