AIR TRANSAT REASSURES OVER SUMMER TRAVEL

Air Transat says it has enough fuel to maintain normal operations throughout the summer season. The message of reassurance further comes with enhanced flexibility conditions for clients applicable to its Eco Standard and Club Standard fares for a limited time.

In a release on Friday, the carrier said, “Working in collaboration with its partners and suppliers, and supported by a robust supply chain, Air Transat has secured the fuel required to operate its full summer program. Operations are running as planned.”

It added, “The situation is being closely monitored, and Air Transat remains in close coordination with its partners to ensure reliable access to fuel across its entire network. This rigorous planning and the measures in place allow the airline to maintain stable operations and minimize any disruptions. Travellers can therefore plan their trips with confidence, knowing that everything is in place to welcome them and get them to their destination.”

Fare enhancement

Additionally, Transat says that for any Eco Standard or Club Standard booking made between June 5 and Sept. 1, customers can benefit from no change fees, as well as the option to cancel without penalty in exchange for a travel credit valid for 12 months from the originally scheduled return date. The offer applies to travel through Sept. 8.

Eco Flex and Club Flex fares offer increased flexibility, including the option to cancel with a full refund up to 24 hours before departure.

In addition, Option Flex remains available starting at $99 for package bookings, allowing customers to adjust their trip according to their needs.
