Sunwing Vacations Group is extending its pause of operations to Cuba for the summer season to include Varadero (VRA) and Cayo Coco (CCC). As such, all operations in Cuba have been cancelled from June 20 through Oct. 9, 2026 (inclusive) for all gateways/airports across its three brands: Sunwing Vacations, WestJet Vacations and Vacances WestJet Quebec
SVG says Cayo Coco (CCC) will resume as scheduled on Oct. 10 and service to Holguin (HOG), Santa Clara (SNU), Cayo Largo (CYO) and Cienfuegos (CFG) will resume on Oct. 25.
Booked clients, commissions
The company adds that clients scheduled to depart between now and Oct. 31 will receive a full refund to their original form of payment and commissions will be recalled. Refunds will be automatically processed, and there is no additional action required. Allow up to 21 business days for refunds to be processed.
Groups
For customers booked as a group, Group Sales Representatives will be in touch to review options.
SVG notes that its tour divisions continues to offer flight options from May out of key gateways across Canada to a wide range of popular sun destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Punta Cana, Montego Bay and more.
In the meantime, the company says it will closely monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
