RETAIL ROUND-UP: Agent news, fams & incentives

This week: Nexion Travel Group announced its 2026 Summit in Vancouver in 2026; Virtuoso’s Chairman’s Event recognized top performers in Mexico; Voyzant lit up Vancouver with Diwali celebrations; TRAVELSAVERS Canada is showcasing its professional development; and a new-look Club Med University is back in session.

Nexion Travel Group

Nexion Travel Group has announced it will host its second annual Cruise Sales Summit May 20-23, 2026, at the Hilton Vancouver Airport. Fifty travel advisors will participate in the hands-on conference, open to Nexion members from Canada and the U.S. They’ll be joined by representatives from ocean and river cruise lines as well as other complementary partners such as insurance providers and land tours for pre- and post-cruise excursions.

A pre-event FAM cruise onboard the Coral Princess will also depart Los Angeles on May 16 and arrive in Vancouver on May 20.

The conference itinerary has been designed to assist advisors in expanding their expertise of all cruise segments and make sure they’re aware of all the latest trends, whether they’re new to selling cruises or have experience with this market. It will include in-depth education sessions on the business of selling ocean and river cruises, strategies to enhance sales and the client experience, multiple networking opportunities, one-on-one meetings with supplier partners, tours of ships and visits to hotels.

“We know the importance of cruise bookings to our members, and the Cruise Sales Summit is part of our commitment to provide our travel advisors in the United States and Canada with the tools they need to be successful,” said Nexion Travel Group president Jackie Friedman.

“Cruise offerings are changing all the time, with new ships, itineraries and excursions. Our members will return home with important cruise industry connections, firsthand experiences and new ideas for providing their clients with exciting choices for ocean and river voyages,” she added.

Virtuoso

The 2025 Chairman’s Event (banner photo), a celebratory gathering to recognize the highest-performing travel Virtuoso agency members, recently took place in Grand Velas Los Cabos resort in Mexico. Held annually in a different location every year, the Chairman’s Event has proven to accelerate interest and growth in the popularity of its host destination.

With the help of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, a longtime and highly engaged Virtuoso partner, alongside Virtuoso’s preferred hotels within the area, the network honored its VIPs – 133 agency owners and managers from nine regions around the world – with four days of relationship-building and destination immersion.

Bonding through shared experiences is a hallmark of the event, and attendees were treated to a variety of immersive offerings within the Los Cabos area, including “Design Your Day” experiences that featured a diverse range of activities including outdoor adventures and cultural highlights to rejuvenating and mindful pursuits.

Another key element of the Chairman’s Event is the ability to bring peers together for conversation amongst like-minded business leaders. The event’s business session, led by Virtuoso’s Senior Leadership Team, provided opportunity to update attendees on Virtuoso happenings as well as insights shaping luxury travel.

Voyzant

Voyzant lit up Vancouver with a lively Diwali celebration that brought together more than 200 travel professionals from across Western Canada. The event (photo above) welcomed airline partners, government representatives (including India’s consul general), and travel advisors, all joining to celebrate community and strengthen industry connections.

“Our goal for this event was to bring people together,” said Sandeep Maimgain, EVP of Agency Business and Global Operations at Voyzant. “Seeing so many partners and industry leaders celebrate Diwali with us shows the strength of our community and the opportunities ahead for travel.”

Haroon Ghaffar, representing the Office of the Premier of British Columbia, presented Voyzant with a formal Letter of Appreciation signed by Premier David Eby, recognizing Voyzant’s efforts in uniting the travel community and contributing to British Columbia’s vibrant tourism sector.
