Porter Airlines continues expanding its network at Hamilton International Airport (YHM) with new routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) beginning in December. Flights to Orlando begin Dec. 12, and Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 13, both with three weekly roundtrips.
Porter is the only airline offering nonstop flights between these cities, operating seasonally until April. These destinations also mark Porter’s first U.S. flights from Hamilton.
“We are continuing to grow our presence in Hamilton, announcing nine nonstop routes this year,” said Andrew Pierce, VP, network planning and reporting, Porter Airlines. “This is part of our commitment to taking travellers where they want to go, and we’re pleased to offer Hamiltonians the elevated economy flying experience they deserve.”
The initial flight schedule is as follows:
- Hamilton to Orlando: Tues., Fri., 7:05 a.m., Sun. 3:15
- Orlando to Hamilton: Tues., Fri., 11:15 a.m., 7:20 p.m.
- Hamilton to Fort Lauderdale: Mon., Thur., Sat. 7:25 a.m.,
- Fort Lauderdale to Hamilton: Mon., Thur., Sat. 11:25
Flights will be operated on Porter’s state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with a two-by-two seat configuration, meaning no middle seats for any traveller. All passengers receive complimentary beer and wine, snacks, and free WiFi. The all-inclusive PorterReserve includes additional elements including meals and two checked bags.
