TDC SAYS BRAVO TO PERU

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) recently hosted 30 franchise and affiliate agency owners from across Canada and their guests on the organization’s Bravo Excellence Club reward trip – this year a seven-night Peruvian adventure that was conducted in collaboration with Transat and G Adventures.

“TDC is, first and foremost, a group of dedicated business owners – travel agency owners who work incredibly hard, and some of whom achieve truly exceptional sales performance,” said Karine Gagnon, TDC’s General Manager. “For nearly 20 years, the Bravo Excellence Club reward trip has been our way of recognizing these sales leaders. This trip offers us an incredible luxury, a rare and essential commodity: time. Time to enjoy the destination, of course, but most importantly, time to connect with colleagues.

Dianne Jackson, Director of Franchise and Affiliate Members and a member of TDC’s leadership team, added, “These trips are far more than just well-planned itineraries. They are an invaluable opportunity to connect deeply with our owners, to understand what drives them, the challenges they face, and their business aspirations.”

At Machu Picchu

The winners arrived in Lima via Air Transat before embarking on a G Adventures tour to Cusco, Aguas Calientes, Sacsayhuamán, and Machu Picchu. The itinerary showcased G Adventures’ eco-friendly values, connecting travellers with indigenous communities to ensure tourism contributes directly to their well-being. For example, the group participated in an empanada-making workshop and a spiritual ritual dedicated to the Sun King.

The trip concluded with a lavish dinner at the Artisano restaurant in Cusco, celebrating the journey and contributions of the participants throughout 2024.

“Travelling to Peru and visiting Machu Picchu was an unforgettable experience – truly a dream come true,” said Ana Tremblay, co-owner of Algonquin Travel & Cruise Centre TravelPlus. “What made it even more special was sharing this adventure with such an incredible group of colleagues… The combination of breathtaking landscapes and meaningful connections made this trip one I’ll always remember and cherish.”

Sarah Crowhurst and Lynn Hipwell, both co-owners of The Travel Place TravelPlus, added, “From exploring the beauty of Machu Picchu, learning about the amazing history and culture of Peru, to meeting new friends and sharing laughs over pisco sours…every moment of our journey was perfect.”

Next year’s Bravo Excellence Club trip will be a Mediterranean immersion aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Dawn.
