TODAY’S THE DAY: Updated Black Friday travel offers

The biggest shopping day of the year is here and there are travel deals are a-plenty, some extending into Cyber Monday, ‘Travel Tuesday’ (Dec. 3) and even further. Here is an updated at-a-glance look at some of this year’s best travel deals for travel advisors and clients.

Airlines

  • TAP Air Portugal’s Black FLYday sale offers roundtrip economy fares to Europe starting from CDN$579 roundtrip, and Business Class to Portugal starting from $2,199 roundtrip from Toronto or $2,599 from Montreal.  The sale is available through Dec. 4 for travel from Jan. 14 to May 15, 2025 (except for April 7-22, 2025).
  • Arajet, the Low-price Dominican airline Arajet is offering $1 flights (tax and fees not included) on Black Friday on special flights on several of its routes during December and January. Check the web site for deals.

 Tour operators

  • Black Friday savings of up to $2,000 per pair off hundreds of resorts in the tropics, from Mexico to the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, Panama and more, are available with Sunwing until Dec. 1, for travel through April 30, 2025. Additionally, advisors can earn 3X STAR Points when they add a NexusTours.com excursion in destination.
  • Transat’s Black Friday mega sale includes up to $2,500 off packages for two and is in effect for 72 hours. Meanwhile, Cyber week specials start at $799.
  • Until Dec. 1, TravelBrands is offer travel advisors 5x the Loyalty Rewards points on Black Friday bookings. The promotion applies to hotel-only bookings; add-ons (Tours, Attractions, and Transfers); car rentals; and Sunquest, Encore Cruises, Exotik Journeys, and TravelGenie packages.   • Air Canada Vacations’ Black Friday deals are live online at aircanadavacations.com
  • The “Go Everywhere” Black Friday sale from Collette offers clients savings of up to 25% on tours to all seven continents booked by Dec. 4. Offer code TRAVEL24 must be used at the time of booking.
  • Active Adventures is offering $500 off all with its epic Adventure Sale. Use the code ADVENTURE500.
  • Starting Nov. 29, Explora’s Cyber Sale offers savings of up to 50% at seven Explora lodges and destinations across South America. The first-ever portfolio-wide discount from the pioneer of expedition travel to remote regions of the continent is bookable online until Dec. 6. Savings will change by the month and vary by destination, are available for travel through September, 2025.
  • The Explorers Black Friday Sales from Quark Expeditions offers up to 50% off select Antarctic 24/25 and Arctic 25 voyages. Available until Dec. 2, more details can be found online. 
  • Trafalgar, is offering up to 15% off top itineraries, including up to CAD$850 off Trafalgar’s Best of Spain and nearly CAD$855 off the Switzerland and Austria itinerary.
  • Insight Vacations is offering a full month of daily deals on top itineraries. Travellers can save up to 15% off on coveted destinations with up to CAD$1075 off the Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands itinerary and nearly CAD$645 off the Greece Undiscovered itinerary.
  • Celtic travel experts Brendan Vacations is giving guests savings of up to 15% off on the brand’s most popular guided tours including up to CAD$1,600 off the Romantic Britain and Ireland and nearly CAD$1,100 off Best of Ireland and Scotland. Custom itineraries also feature doorbuster savings of CAD$1,200 off per couple for the first 50 guests on any custom trip booked for travel from January through March 2025. Couples can redeem up to CAD$500 off all other Private Chauffeur and Lux Self Drive bookings or up to CAD$400 off all Rail Vacations and Self-Drive trips. Travellers who book a Self-Drive itinerary will receive a free online driving guide from the international driving guide company, Tripiamo.
  • Contiki is offering savings of up to 25% off on a record-breaking 145 trips across six continents. Travellers can save on brand-new trips such as a trip to Albania Beaches and Peaks, a Lima to Machu Picchu Road Trip and exploring the Ancient Wonders of Rome, Athens and Cairo plus top-sellers like the Thai Island Hopper West tour and over CAD$1,400 off a 15-day adventure from London to Budapest by Train.
  • Budget-friendly Costsaver is offering hundreds in savings on a selection of worldwide tours including nearly CAD$405 off the European Experience, which hops through 12 cities in 8 countries, or up to CAD$375 off the South America Discovery, where travellers can visit the iconic Iguassu Falls and ruins of Machu Picchu. Plus, guests can customize their trip even further with a CAD$50 credit towards Choice Optional Experiences on all bookings.
  • Globus family of brands has unveiled a month of Black Friday deals with its “From Here to Anywhere” sale. Deals, detailed online, are available through Dec. 13 from Avalon Waterways, Globus, and Cosmos.
  • The Cyber Sale from Intrepid, running through Dec. 05 offers up to 20% on over 800 Intrepid tours, across thousands of international and domestic departures. For all destinations visited by the Intrepid Foundation, the company will match donations dollar for dollar.
  • The Black Friday promotion from Rocky Mountaineer, which runs through to Dec. 5, offers savings of up to $2,800 per couple on select packages for 2025 travel dates. The offer applies to both new Direct Guest and Travel Agent bookings; details can be found on the website.

OTA

  • Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) has unveiled discounts of 30% or more on top destinations for Black Friday – available for bookings made by Dec 4 for travel through Dec. 15, 2025. 

Cruise 

  • Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is launching its ‘12 Days of Christmas Event’ on Black Friday with daily savings and surprises ranging from 50% off popular cruises to free trip extensions, waived solo traveller supplements, and more. Uniworld will also be offering special deals for wine lovers and discounts on exotic destinations. A new offer for select 2025 sailings will be unveiled each weekday for 12 days, with the first deal unveiled on Nov. 29. Visit https://www.uniworld.com/ca/12days.
  • All-inclusive cruise fares from Swan Hellenic have been reduced by up to US$8,000 per suite for Black Friday. Available for Balcony Staterooms on 12 cultural expedition cruises throughout the year, clients until Dec. 4 to book.
  • French Polynesian specialist Paul Gauguin Cruises is offering guests extra savings of up to US$2,900 per guest on a wide selection of seven- to 20-night voyages in 2025. These are in addition to the up to 30% Bonus Savings already included in published fares. Travel advisors receive a gift too, earning up to a $250 gift card for each newly deposited booking aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin. The ‘Best Gift, Ever’ offer is available through Jan. 3, 2025.
  • Norwegian Cruise Line’s Black Friday sale includes 50% off all currently published voyages. The offer is combinable with the More At Sea value-added package available for all voyages beginning Jan. 1, 2025. 
  • Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises are offering savings of up to 35% off on select journeys through Dec. 4. All offers are listed online. Book through ExpressBook or call book with offer code SAVEBLKFRI.
  • Clients save up to CDN$8,000 per suite on more than 550 Silversea Ocean and Expedition voyages when reserved by Dec. 2.
  • Seabourn kicks off the holiday and gift season with its annual “Black Friday Sail.” Available until Dec. 3, the promotion offers several value-added benefits on select 2025 and 2026 ultra-luxury ocean and expedition voyages, including a two-category veranda suite upgrade and a 15% reduced deposit in select markets
  • The ‘Best-Ever Black Friday Sale,’ by Oceania features up to a four-category stateroom upgrade plus an exclusive additional amenity, offering added value of up to US$5,500 per stateroom. Guests can also choose from a premium drink package (unlimited wine, beer, and spirits), shipboard credit up to $1,000, or free/reduced airfare. The offer is valid on more than 90 global voyages sailing in 2025 and 2026, on bookings made between by Dec. 10 with promotional code “UGBF.”
  • On Black Friday, Virgin Voyages is offering $99 per Sailor per night deal for Insider, Lock it In cabins plus a $100 Bar Tab. Also, 80% off the second Sailor plus up to $300 Bar Tab.
  • Atlas Ocean Voyages is offering savings of up to 20% on the best available fares for select 2025 and 2026 Antarctica expeditions. Additionally, guests will receive an onboard credit of up to US$600 per stateroom or suite when booking before Dec. 7.
  • Through Dec. 3, Variety Cruises is offering 50% off its cruises in the Med, Seychelles, French Polynesia, and more. Plus, no single supplements.
  • Clients booking with Windstar Cruises can take advantage of reduced deposits of $300 per guest through Dec. 2.
  • With Margaritaville at Sea’s Black Friday Sale, passengers can receive savings of up to 60% off all sailings aboard Islander and Paradise (Port of Palm Beach) through 2026.

Hotels & Resorts 

  • Sandals and Beaches Black Friday sale offers up to 65% off and up to a $1,500 booking credit, plus one night free on select room categories, on bookings made through Dec 3 (Travel Tuesday). The limited-time offer includes a flex pay 0% financing option for 12 months, for travel through Dec. 3, 2025. To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the brands’ philanthropic arm, the Sandals Foundation, Sandals and Beaches will donate $15 for every booking made from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3 to help support conservation in the region.
  • Clients can save 25% booked on Black Friday on stays at participating Accor hotels in the US and Canada, plus discounts of up to 60% at hotels across the Americas. Brands include Novotel, Pullman, Swissôtel, ibis, Mercure and more.
  • Through Dec. 2, Germain Hotels is offering discounts of up to 30% across its 19 hotels throughout Canada for stays Dec. 12 to April 21.
  • The Cyber Sale, through Dec. 6, from Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas, is valid for stays from Jan.2 through June 30 at The Coral, The Royal, The Cove, and The Reef. The sale, through Dec. 6, is the resort’s biggest of the year, offering savings of up to 30%, resort credits, and more.
  • In St. Lucia, five-star Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences is offering up to 60% off on all luxury room categories and villas for bookings made by Dec. 18. And guests who book five nights or more will receive a $200 USD resort credit to use towards spa treatments, dining, or watersport activities.
  • Through Dec. 2, Club Med is offering 50% off on all resorts in North America; additional up to $500 Instant Savings per person per week; kids under 4 stay fee; and no Single Supplement on select resorts. Travel must take place Dec. 7-June 27, 2025. More offers for sun and other global resorts can be found online. Meanwhile, travel advisors will double their Club Med Great Advisor Loyalty points on all bookings for Club Med Québec Charlevoix, Exclusive Collection Resorts, and International Zone Resorts (Europe, Asia, Pacific or Brazil).
  • Karisma Hotels & Resorts’ Black Friday Sale is offering savings of up to 65% for bookings made by Dec. 6 on stays at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, Margaritaville Island Reserve Resorts, and Azul Beach Resorts for travel through Jan. 2, 2027.
  • Guests booking Virgin Hotels will receive up to 25% off best available rates and will also be entered to win an upgrade to Richard’s Penthouse Flat. Each week, two lucky guests will be treated to this exclusive upgrade.
  • Travellers can now enjoy a “stay 4 nights, pay for 3” offer at Mexico Grand Hotels in Los Cabos, including Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences, Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa, and the luxury, boutique property, Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences. The offer must be booked by Dec. 3 for stays through June 30, 2025.

Theme Parks

  • Universal Orlando Resort is offering two free days of admission to the theme park destination with the purchase of a two-day ticket. On sale now for travel through April 30, 2025, the “Buy 2 Days, Get 2 Days” ticket offer gives US and Canada residents the opportunity to enjoy four days of access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands.   • 26 top accommodation providers in Saint Lucia are offering savings of up to 65% off on Black Friday, Cyber and Travel Tuesday.
