SYMPOSIUM A FIRST FOR DIRECT TRAVEL

Direct Travel Canada’s corporate travel division recently held its first corporate travel symposium. Held in Fort Lauderdale, the event was designed as an opportunity for senior executives, managers and advisors to connect and learn about developments in the sphere or business travel.

 “Corporate client travel managers were also invited to partake in select sessions, giving them the chance to meet our team – in person for many for the first time,” says Direct Travel President Canada West, Brian Robertson.

 Preferred partners including Air Canada, United Airlines, Hilton Worldwide, Enterprise Mobility, WestJet and Choice Hotels also attended, bringing the total number of participants to over 160.

 A variety of timely topics were explored including elevating the customer experience, innovative technologies, AI, sustainability initiatives.

 Direct, which has been in business for over 60 years in Canada, works with corporations large and small to develop a travel policy, provide reporting and analytics on their travel spend, and ensure risk management. For year-end 2023, Direct Travel Canada is reporting that it will surpass $1 billion in corporate, meetings and leisure sales.
