The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) will be conducting a “Canada Trade Week” mission in early November with key events in Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto. Agents will have an opportunity to meet with local and on-island suppliers and destination wedding vendors to learn about the latest product updates and resort developments in Jamaica.
The Jamaica Travel Expo & Destination Weddings Showcase events will take place in Calgary on Nov. 7, Montreal on Nov. 9, and Toronto on Nov. 10.
Each regional event will feature dedicated product training sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a Destination Showcase from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with live entertainment, Caribbean-inspired cuisine, games, photo opportunities and prize giveaways.

“The Jamaica Travel Expo and Destination Weddings Showcase will be the JTB’s first major in-person show since 2019, and we are anticipating more than 450 agents to join us for these exciting trade week events across the country,” says JTB Regional Director, Canada Angella Bennett. “We can’t wait to bring the vibrant spirit of Jamaica to (Canada) this fall. Each regional event will give retail agents a chance to learn from the country’s top suppliers, hear the latest destination developments, and enjoy some world-class island fun and prizes.”

Consumer event
The JTB will also host a public Jamaica Travel Expo event on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pearson Convention Centre in Toronto. The free event will bring together Jamaica’s top hotels, resorts, attractions, and bridal specialists who will be on site throughout the day to help Canadian travellers plan their dream island vacation, honeymoon, or destination wedding.
The travel expo event will feature a live band, kids’ activities, free swag, Jamaican food and drinks, fashion shows, destination presentations, hourly vacation prize draws, and a grand prize giveaway valued at $5,000 courtesy of redtag.ca.
