Steven Larkin is returning to Intrepid Travel. Formerly President of Intrepid Canada from 2008 to 2014, the Canadian industry veteran will take on the new role of SVP Global Sales & Partnerships, North America effective Jan. 1.
The company says his role will focus on expanding the company’s North American footprint through new acquisitions and partnerships, while driving strategic growth across existing travel industry partnerships, external sales, affinity groups, and emerging commercial channels.
Larkin returns to Intrepid with a deep track record in the travel industry. After his tenure as Intrepid’s top exec in Canada, he spent more than a decade at Delta Air Lines, most recently as Director of Sales, Canada.
The appointment comes as Intrepid accelerates its ambitious plan to grow its North American business to $500 million by 2030.
“Steven brings an incredible mix of industry knowledge, commercial discipline, and a real passion for purpose-led travel,” says Leigh Barnes, President of the Americas, Intrepid Travel. “We have bold goals for North America, and we need a dedicated leader focused solely on winning new business. Steven knows our brand, he knows this market, and I’m thrilled to welcome him back to the Intrepid team.”
“I’m excited to rejoin Intrepid at such a pivotal moment,” says Larkin. “There is enormous opportunity in the North American market, especially as more partners look to align with a brand that leads on responsible travel. Intrepid has incredible momentum right now, and I’m looking forward to helping drive the next phase of growth.”
Larkin’s appointment follows Intrepid’s recent launch of its major partnership with REI and continued business growth across the United States and Canada.
