04 MAR 2019: Fans who can’t wait for the third season of The Crown to hit the airwaves later this year can get a fix of the popular Netflix series through a new dedicated film location tour offered in London by sightseeing company Evan Evans Tours.

It’s a tour that’s “fit for a queen,” says Trafalgar, which sells the excursion in Canada, and an ideal option for those “waiting with bated breath” for news of the yet-to-be announced release date of the series.

Featuring Olivia Colman playing the lead role of Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, the series follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century and has developed a devout audience during its first two seasons.

The Crown Film Locations: London is a half-day (five-hour) tour that whisks guests in a Mercedes to the London-based locations that feature in the series, including Southwark Cathedral and The Old Royal Naval College, the backdrop to the scene where King George VI’s funeral was held prior to Elizabeth being crowned Queen, and the location for the courtyard at Buckingham Palace, respectively; Lancaster House, which provided many of the settings for Buckingham Palace; and The Lyceum Theatre’s dramatic façade, which was used for the gala scene with The Queen and Prince Phillip adorned in tiara and tux.

The private tour costs £866 ($1,524) for one to three guests in an E-Class vehicle or £953 ($1,677) for four to six guests in a V-Cass car. Included is dedicated chauffer and separate professional tour guide and central London pick up and drop off. It should be noted that locations are viewed from the outside and do not include entrance due to time restraints.

Tours depart daily at 10 a.m. (excluding Dec. 24-26) and finish at 3 p.m.

Also available via the dedicated Evan Evans concierge team are bespoke tours with a choice of motor vehicles, including the Jaguar XF and a vintage collection.

Evan Evans, which has been offering sightseeing excursions since 1930, also operates a wide number of other royal-themed tours by motor coach, including: Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle with Lunch, which is the perfect tour for anyone inspired by the recent wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle; Royal London Tour with Changing of the Guard; the best-selling Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath; London in One Day with Changing of the Guard & River Cruise and Historical Royal Palaces.
