07 JUN 2010: As you’re booking those last minute trips to Europe right now Nolitours and Transat Holidays put out a big reminder that sun destination bookings are yes…ready to book now. And that’s not gossip.

Brass from the two big brands gathered at Gossip Restaurant in the heart of the Toronto CNE grounds yesterday to launch the latest 2010-2011 sun books from Nolitours and Transat Holidays, part of the travel company’s national release which is taking them on a three-city tour (Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver).

“We are to market earlier than in the past. This is a milestone. It will set the pace for Transat Holidays and Nolitours on when we come to market meeting the needs of travel professionals and customers who are looking to research and book their travel earlier and earlier every year,” explained Nancy Jackson, commercial director for Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

So the brochures are glossy, magazine-like, bigger and better. “Prices are not featured as the volatile pricing industry we felt it was more appropriate to leave the prices out of the brochure hopefully to drive the customers into your offices and engage in dialogue and give you an opportunity to close the sale and discuss details,” said Nancy.

Denise Heffron, vice president commercial, for Nolitours explained how the products are now loaded in the system. “It’s ready to book. Our groups department is ready to take your groups.”

Here’s what’s new:

For starters, agents can feast their eyes on a new destination: Nassau, Bahamas in the new Transat Holidays Sun 2010-2011 brochure. “It’s been a couple of years since we added a new destination and we are happy to add this new destination.”

“We always strive to offer a greater selection of vacation products and destinations,” said Nancy describing seven popular resorts from three stars like the Comfort Suite Paradise Island to the four and a half Atlantis which is available for three, four or seven night packages from Toronto.

And to help agents combat that last-minute booking trend, Transat Holidays is taking a smart business approach with an innovative Best Price Guarantee new promotion for early bookings.

“In the event a Transat Holidays package becomes available at a lower price than the one at which it was purchased, the difference will be refunded in cash,” she explained, noting that clients who book early will also receive a free upgrade to Option Plus on Air Transat flights or CanJet Select on CanJet flights. Included in the upgrade: seat selection, priority check-in and baggage delivery including a comfort kit.

Agents can take advantage of the Best Price Guarantee promotion for all new bookings at participating hotels from now till September 30, 2010 for travel between November 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011.

“If the price drops we will honour the lower price. We recognize the interest and opportunity for clients to book earlier and at the same time their concerns of prices going down so we listened to your issues and concerns and we have come to the marketplace with a program that adds value and provides opportunity to yourselves and the agents doing the selling,” said Nancy.

Luxury Collection

Watch for eight upscale resorts located in the Caribbean and Mexico. Do you have clients dreaming of a personal butler, some fabulous culinary choices along with other big perks? Steer them to these luxury all-inclusive packages.

New Improved Transat Distinction

You’re familiar with the Transat Distinction line but now there are even more exclusive privileges. This collection of 24 luxury resorts exclusive to Transat Holidays’ clients gets them with rooms closest to the beach not to mention 24-hour room service with a daily round of golf. And don’t think of those buffets either. You get guaranteed reservations for a la carte dinners. Just think of that intimate candlelight dinner by the sea for two.

Meanwhile clients who wish to explore the packages from the Nolitours Sun 2010-2011 brochure can expect 179 hotels nine of which are brand new to the product line-up and 48 exclusive.

“It’s our hallmark fighting brand. It’s a program with a product line up that allows you to be aggressive with competitive pricing in the marketplace,” said Nancy about the array of tropical paradises here.

The Cameleon Line continues to be popular too.

Nicole Bursey, sales director for Ontario and Atlantic Canada discussed how aggressive FAM tours are being planned so agents can “feel and touch” the product.

In keeping with the current Apps craze, Transat Holidays and Nolitours have jumped on the bandwagon too offering group apps which is expected to be launched shortly.

Described as an electronic brochure, you can keep up to date with the latest says Nicole. “Every time we have a new deal, a new pop up comes on the screen.”

We are constantly trying to improve our offer to Canadians by featuring a wide array of quality vacation products,” concluded Michael DiLollo, president of Transat Tours Canada.
