01 AUG 2012: When one thinks of a spa destination the Maritimes don’t immediately come to mind. In fact few could rhyme off a list of spas located in the Maritimes. Images of delicious seafood, quaint fishing villages and friendly locals come more to mind. The Maritimes still has all that in spades, but visiting spas has now entered the vernacular in recent years for both the locals and visitors.

01 AUG 2012: Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced that Michael Bayley has been promoted to president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, replacing Dan Hanrahan. In a related move, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo will be promoted to SVP of operations for Royal Caribbean International.
01 AUG 2012: Time to start choosing a name for Air Canada's new low-cost-carrier-to be. After 19 months of negotiations and talks, the arbitrator's selection of Air Canada's final offer concludes a new collective agreement with the Air Canada Pilots Association (ACPA). A key issue in the talks was money-losing Air Canada's desire to launch a separate discount airline which it says is crucial to future profitability. Pilots strongly oppose the plan, fearing it puts their job security and benefits at risk.
02 Aug 2012: When you consider the economic windfall that the Olympics represent for Britain, one naturally tends to think of things like airline seats, hotel rooms, trains, restaurants, bars and department stores being filled with excited flag-waving consumers.
