05 DEC 2018: One Love Malibu held a music and food festival raising nearly $1 million for the Malibu Foundation to support programs in regions impacted by the Woolsey Fire. 100% of the proceeds went to those most in need: to the uninsured, to those living paycheck to paycheck with no resources. Aid was also earmarked for animal refuge and care and Wildfire Prevention initiatives.

The Woolsey Fire was one of several fires in California that ignited on November 8, 2018. It burned 96,949 acres (39,234 hectares) of land and destroyed 1,643 structures.

More than 295,000 people were evacuated and three people died.

With support from Linda Perry & Kerry Brown’s artist empowerment company We Are Hear, the fundraiser featured musical performances, a silent auction made possible by One Love Productions and a live auction by Christie’s.

Electric musical performances included Canadians Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke, as well as Joe Walsh, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Rita Ora, Macy Gray, Natasha Bedingfield, Best Coast, Rick Springfield and other artists.
