19 JUN 2019: A Porter Airlines flight travelling from Montreal to Toronto made an emergency landing in Hamilton on Tuesday. Fire officials were on hand but there were no reported injuries.

In a tweet posted around 11 am the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport said, Porter flight PD458 had touched down following an issue.

"As the flight landed, Hamilton International Airport fire responded and there are no reported injuries," reads the tweet. "Runway 12-30 is currently closed."

Brad Cicero, director of Communications for Porter, told Global News that the flight diverted due to “a hydraulic fluid indication.”

“The aircraft punctured tires upon landing and stopped on the runway. All 59 passengers and four crew are safe and uninjured. Passengers were transported by bus to the terminal and then on to Toronto.”

Hamilton airport remained open after the incident and there was no impact to passenger operations.

The Porter Airlines website shows flight PD458 left Montreal at 9:10 a.m. and was diverted to Hamilton, where it landed at 10:30 a.m.
