15 JAN 2018: The Mull of Kintyre is the southwestern tip of the Kintyre Peninsula in southwest Scotland and on a clear and calm day, the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland is visible from here. An historic lighthouse, the second commissioned in Scotland, guides shipping in the intervening North Channel. Paul Mccartney and Denny Laine wrote a song in tribute to the area where McCartney has owned a farm since 1966.

Here's a  young Paul Mccartney with your Friday music video.

Ed. Note:  It was years before I realized "mist' was rolling in from the sea.  I always thought it was 'fish' and had a strange image of that!

Lyrics

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of Kintyre
Far have I travelled and much have I seen
Dark distant mountains with valleys of green.
Past painted deserts the sunsets on fire
As he carries me home to the mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of Kintyre

Sweep through the heather like deer in the glen
Carry me back to the days I knew then.
Nights when we sang like a heavenly choir
Of the life and the time of the mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of Kintyre

Smiles in the sunshine
And tears in the rain
Still take me back to where my memories remain
Flickering embers growing higher and higher
As they carry me back to the mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of Kintyre
