19 DEC 2018: With the holidays just around the corner, Air Transat’s latest campaign features a group of British expats who were asked what they missed most about the United Kingdom. A ‘researcher’ led them through a series of questions and tests to trigger their levels of homesickness and their emotional responses to supposedly help find the best cure for them. (VIDEO INCL)

In the rather moving video (above) the unsuspecting participants are clearly homesick and often emotional.

The campaign showcases the immediate joy and positive emotion that travel and vacation can bring as their mood changes in an instant when Transat surprises them with complimentary flights between
Canada and the UK.

David, who has lived in Toronto for 10 years, will finally have the chance to bring his son to visit his hometown

Jim, who is getting married next summer in Toronto and was doubtful if his parents could attend, will now have the comfort knowing they will be by his side for the most important day of his life

Zoe, can go home to be present for her niece’s birth in February, celebrating with her sister and family

Joanne will have the chance to reunite with her family and friends in Birmingham for the first time in over a decade

Transat says that, like its annual Children's Flight with Santa and Vacation Intervention campaigns, its ‘Cure for Homesickness’ campaign is another inspiring example of the company's brand promise to brighten everyday with the joy of vacation and create memorable experiences through travel.
