U tqiagvik, Alaska, more commonly known Barrow, is the furthest north of all US cities -roughly 1,300 miles (2,100 km) south of the North Pole. The image above was taken at 1.45 am on May 30.   

Barrow's population of around 4,000 is made up primarily of Inupiat Eskimos. It's an expensive place to live as virtually all goods have to be flown in. Watch the video - it's fascinating.
