13 OCT 2017: Sunwing confirmed the resumption of flights to Camaguey as per the original schedule from November 1st. All hotels in Camaguey will be fully re-opened in time for the first flights. Flights into Cayo Coco will be available again from November 7th. Flights to Cayo Santa Maria will recommence from November 10th from Montreal, while services from Toronto and Quebec City have been rescheduled from November 11th.  Flights to all other Cuban destinations are already operating as normal.

Sunwing has been working closely with the local authorities and their destination teams to assess the readiness of resorts in Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria to welcome customers to their accepted standard.

Several members of the company’s senior management team will be travelling to both destinations today to perform an on-site inspection at the invitation of the Minister of Tourism for Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, who visited the company’s head office this week to share the good news that the clean-up operation is moving along well and ahead of schedule.
Following this visit to the region, it is anticipated that a detailed list of hotel re-opening dates will be made available early next week.
All flight updates are posted at www.sunwing.ca.
